This just in courtesy of Vancouver Canucks insider Thomas Drance, the Canucks will turn to goaltender Thatcher Demko once again this evening, while the Vegas Golden Knights continue to ride the hot hand in Robin Lehner.

Check it out:

There was some chatter that the Canucks might have starter Jacob Markstrom available to them for Game 6, but he has officially been deemed "unfit to play" and will watch from the press box. Veteran Louis Domingue will back up the 24 year old Demko.

As for the Golden Knights, Lehner's assignment for this evening should really come as no surprise to fans who have followed Vegas this entire post-season. Veteran Marc Andre Fleury has really only been utilized by head coach Pete DeBoer in back to back situations. It's clear that Lehner is DeBoer's guy and he's riding him win or lose.

As for Demko, he looked remarkable in his first career Stanley Cup Playoff start on Tuesday evening, turning aside 42 of 43 shots and earning 1st star status. There was talk that even if Markstrom was good to go for this evening that Demko would get the start over him anyways. Which isn't entirely surprising given Demko's performance from Tuesday evening, but the fact of the matter is that Markstrom has been the Canucks' most valuable player this season and he's a big reason that the team has gotten as far as they have.
