Philadelphia Flyers forward Travis Konecny can't catch a break it seems.

Last week Konency was injured during a clash against the Toronto Maple Leafs, suffering an upper-body injury that prevented him from coming out for the game's third period. Subsequently Konecny would miss the Flyers Saturday night game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, once again due to that same injury, but it looked as though Sunday would bring with it some good news.

As the Flyers hit the ice for their morning skate, Konecny was there participating with his teammates and it was looking like a return was just over the horizon. Unfortunately that good news would quickly turn bad when Konecny suffered a new injury during that very same practice.

Konecny would take a puck off the knee and hobbled his way off the ice as a result.

The good news here is that Konency did try to shake it off but he would eventually leave practice a little early as a result of his injury.

Flyers head coach Rick Tocchet confirmed the bad news when speaking to the media following practice, admitting that he did not know if Konency would be available for Monday's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

"He took a shot off his knee on the first drill, kind of a nerve. Hopefully, it wakes up, kind of dead leg thing. We will see tomorrow."

A big loss for the flyers with Konency one of their top offensive contributors. In 42 games this season he has 14 goals and 24 assists for a total of 38 points.
