Trio of Red Wings players missing from today's practice, including rookie
Not more injury troubles.....
The Detroit Red Wings are feeling much better about themselves following their third straight victory last night over the Edmonton Oilers at Little Caesars Arena.
They'll be facing another high powered offense tomorrow night in the Motor City when they welcome Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals to town. However, the Red Wings could face the possibility of being without several key players, including one particular rookie forward.
Lucas Raymond as well as defensemen Marc Staal and Filip Hronek didn't skate this morning. According to head coach Jeff Blashill, it was a "maintenance" day for the trio, but he couldn't be sure about their availability for tomorrow night's game.
With six goals and eight assists on the season so far, Raymond leads all National Hockey League rookies in scoring. Right behind him is his teammate and fellow Red Wings rookie Moritz Seider, who scored an empty net goal last night against the Oilers.
