Trouba absolutely obliterates Barron with a crushing hit at the blue line
Barron was in la-la land! Seeing stars!
Whammo!
That's what it must feel like to get lined up and absolutely obliterated by New York Rangers captain Jacob Trouba.
Trouba laid the smack down on Montreal Canadiens defenseman Justin Barron this evening, lining him up with a textbook hit at the defending blue line.
Barron flubbed a pass at the line and took his eyes off Trouba for just a fraction of a second, enabling Trouba to line him up and lay a shoulder directly into his chest. Barron went down hard and stayed down, while Trouba was forced to drop the gloves with Canadiens defender Mike Matheson.
Check it out:
I said it once, I'll say it again: Whammo!
No word yet on Barron's status. Stay tuned for a post-game update.
