The Penguins traveled to Crosby county earlier this week:
The Pittsburgh Penguins suited up for the NHL’s Nova Scotia Showdown against the Ottawa Senators earlier this week, and even though the Pens were shut out, there are some great things that came out of that weekend.
Forward Noel Acciari revealed how Sidney Crosby’s family acted as hosts for the entire team during its time in Nova Scotia.
Acciari later found out that Crosby does bake a mean banana bread, though it was his mother who treated his teammates that time around.
“I did not,” Crosby said. “That was my mom. I can’t take the credit for that. So she was busy before the guys got here. But yeah, she did that.”
Despite the loss, it was a special homecoming for Crosby, and the rest of his teammates got to enjoy it - and some delicious banana bread - as well.
Sid also took his teammates on quite a tour of Nova Scotia, including a round of golf at The Links at Brunello and a downtown scavenger hunt organized by his friends and family on Saturday.
Crosby is often said to be one of the classiest and nicest guy in the league, and you can just tell that it all comes from his parents and great family values.
