Two extra spicy Patrick Kane trade predictions.
Biz Nasty and Ryan Whitney bring the spice.
Although many of us don't expect to see a Patrick Kane trade materialize before the calendar turns to 2023, there is an undeniable buzz around the trade speculation involving the Chicago Blackhawks superstar forward.
Kane has already been linked to a number of potential destinations and just about everyone has their own opinions about where he will eventually land. Recently two former National Hockey League players shared their insights on the potential blockbuster trade and what we got were two very spicy takes on what comes next for what many consider to be the greatest American born player in the history of the sport.
The first take comes from former NHLer Paul "Biz Nasty" Bissonnette, who predicted a scenario where Patrick Kane will end up playing alongside Auston Matthews as a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
"If you don't think Kyle Dubas is going to work his magic and get Patrick Kane over to the Toronto Maple Leafs you're out of your f***ing mind," said Bissonette during his most recent podcast.
Bissonnette was far from done there however. He would go even further by suggesting that Kane would look to pass the torch down to Auston Matthews as the greatest American born player to ever play the sport of hockey.
"You're gonna see one of the greatest, if not right now as it stands, the greatest U.S. hockey player to ever play the game pass the torch over to Auston Matthews in his final couple seasons."
If that wasn't enough though, Biz Nasty had one more detail to add to his prediction.
"I think it's gonna happen," said Bissonnette. "He's probably gonna re-sign after the $10 million he's making and take a hometown discount, just like Giordano did, just like everybody else did."
Bissonnette's co-host could not have disagreed more however, predicting that Kane would remain in the United States and instead would join his hometown Buffalo Sabres.
"I already said he's going to Buffalo, he's going back home," said Ryan Whitney with confidence. "The Buffalo Sabres are going to celebrate a Stanley Cup Championship with Patrick Kane, after the Buffalo Bills celebrate a superbowl championship with Josh Allen."
Given the two divergent predictions, Whitney was then asked who would win a Stanley Cup first between the Buffalo Sabres and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was incredulous in his response.
"The Sabres!" screeched Whitney. "Are you kidding me? The Sabres! Are you kidding me? The Leafs will never win a Cup!"
