Two injured Leafs skip practice ahead of first preseason game. The Leafs will suit up to play the Flyers tonight with two of their best forwards listed as day to day. Forwards Tyler Bozak and David Clarkson were both held out of the first Leafs training camp practice after team doctors deemed them to be less than 100%. Tyler Bozak has not spoken to the media since the start of training camp and is listed as having a lower-body injury. The larger issue for most Leaf fans is yet another start to a season without right winger David Clarkson. Clarkson, who was suspended for the first 10 games in 2012-13, had a disappointing campaign after his slow start last season. Clarkson who was looking for a better start this time around will be under a lot of pressure to get back in the line up as quickly as possible. Neither player is expected to start tonight against the Flyers, coach Randy Caryle had this to say "We have players who are injured that'll come back off of the injured [list], but I don't foresee us playing players off of [the] morning skate," Carlyle said. "We're not going to put a player - a Bozak or a Clarkson - into a game just having one morning skate or one day of practice underneath him". The fan and media scrutiny of Clarkson is not likely to die down anytime soon.
