Karl Alzner seemingly could not catch a break during last season’s playoffs.
Lately, his luck is about to change.
According to CSN Mid-Atlantic, the 27-year-old defenseman has been working hard at recovering from offseason surgery to repair a groin injury as well as a sports hernia.
The 2007 first-round, fifth overall draft pick is confident that his hernia is going to be just fine, but was quoted as saying:
“The only thing is the groin; I’m still waiting for that to be 100%”.
The Washington Capitals nonetheless expect him to be ready for the opening night of the 2016-2017 regular season schedule.
