Two more NHL teams expected to shut down.
The latest on the Covid outbreak in the NHL.
It appears as though 2 more National Hockey League teams are expected to be shut down during the holidays.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman is now reporting that the Nashville Predators have been informed by the league that their activities have been shut down through Christmas. Friedman is also reporting that he expects the Boston Bruins to be shut down, but adds that he is still awaiting confirmation on that front.
While it has not been officially announced that the Bruins are shutting down just yet, there have been a number of signs today that would appear to indicate that is indeed the case.
Perhaps the biggest sign that the Bruins may be shut down over the holidays however stems from practice on Saturday. According to Bruins insider Fluto Shinzawa, the Bruins players could be heard wishing one another Merry Christmas as they left the ice on Saturday morning, behavior that would appear to indicate that the players themselves are not expecting to see one another again for some time.
Predators insider Adam Vignan is now also reporting that the Predators will be shut down until after Christmas with at least 2 games being delayed as a result.
Stay tuned for more details.
