The Edmonton Oilers could soon be saying goodbye to two other players.

According to NHL insiders Pierre LeBrun and David Pagnotta, forward Jack Roslovic appears increasingly likely to test the unrestricted free agent market when it opens on July 1. So will Adam Henrique.

Henrique is an unrestricted free agent heading into the offseason, as his previous $6 million contract with the Oilers expires. Following a tough 2025-26 season with the Oilers, reports indicate that the veteran center will likely hit the open market and is not expected to return to Edmonton.

Roslovic joined the Oilers last October after a lengthy free-agent saga and quickly became one of the team’s more intriguing additions. At one point during the season, there was considerable speculation that Edmonton would work toward a contract extension after his strong start with the club. That optimism, however, appears to have faded.

LeBrun reported this week that while the Oilers remain fond of the versatile forward, the expectation around the league is that Roslovic will head to market rather than sign a new deal before free agency opens.

“He’s bounced around playing for four teams in the past three seasons,” LeBrun wrote. “The Oilers really like Roslovic, but at the moment, he’s also likely headed to market.”

The 29-year-old’s postseason struggles may have played a role in the changing outlook. Roslovic managed just one assist in six playoff games during Edmonton’s disappointing first-round exit against the Anaheim Ducks.

With new management evaluating the roster and several major decisions looming, the Oilers appear hesitant to commit significant money before seeing what options become available this summer.

Roslovic and Henrique are not the only pending free agents in Edmonton’ class. The organization still has work to do with winger Kasperi Kapanen, whose contract situation remains unresolved.

For a team already navigating a coaching saga, trade speculation, and roster turnover, losing Roslovic and Henrique marks another notable change during what is shaping up to be a pivotal offseason.
