He's now a member of the Toronto Maple Leafs, having taken a major gamble on himself and agreeing to a one year contract after having been asking for up to seven years.
Tyler Bertuzzi continues his NHL career of having only played for Original 6 teams, having already been drafted and played for the Detroit Red Wings before being dealt to the Boston Bruins at last season's NHL Trade Deadline. And while Boston worked to retain him, they were unable to agree on a new deal. He signed a one year, $5.5 million pact with the Maple Leafs with the chance to once again be able to become an unrestricted free agent at this point next year.
But before that happens, Bertuzzi announced some major life news - he's now a married man.
All the best to the newly married couple!
