This was a big hit.
You knew it was going to be an intense game on Saturday night when the Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs faced off, after all Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet made it clear that his team would be coming into the game with a playoff type of mindset, and it did not disappoint early on.
Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers looked to set the tone early when he leveled Toronto Maple Leafs captain John Tavares with a huge hit that brought an audible gasp from the crowd in attendance tonight.
Much to his credit Tavares was able to bounce back up and seemed to shake off the hit fairly quickly, but this one will definitely be making the highlight reels.
