You’ve seen bad line changes, but probably never like this.

During France’s power play at the end of the second period on Friday, a long, sloppy change left them completely exposed. Czechia’s Matej Stransky and Radek Faksa seized the opportunity, pulling off a flawless give-and-go that ended with Stransky scoring to make it 4-3 Czechia.

I mean, to put it bluntly: they scored on a shorthanded 3-on-0!

Watch the play here:

I mean, Czechia could not miss. It had been a wild game so far. They had been stunned by the French moments earlier, with them taking the unexpected lead, scoring three goals in less than five minutes in the second frame.

The terrible line change is a sequence so rare and so chaotic that it will be talked about long after the tournament. Sometimes, hockey delivers moments you simply cannot script.

And it feels like this entire game was just that!

The Czechs went on to win 6-3 over France.
