Update: Bad news for Kevin Bieksa.

This is just about the last thing Canucks fans were hoping for regarding the status of Kevin Bieksa. Dan Murphy of Sportsnet made the original report and now the club has confirmed that Bieksa sustained multiple fractures to his hand and as a result he will be forced to undergo surgery. According to the official report from the Canucks Bieksa is out "indefinitely" with no time table for his return, a huge blow considering Bieksa has logged the second most minutes among Canucks' defenders. We of course wish Kevin the best of luck in his recovery, and we hope he will be back on the ice sooner rather than later.
