Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill spoke with the media after today’s practice session, and clarified on the situation regarding defenseman Brendan Smith and captain Henrik Zetterberg.
Smith, 27, missed the team’s training earlier today due to an injury while Zetterberg took time off to rest. Thankfully, both are expected to suit up in Thursday’s season opener against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
