Worse than anticipated

Don Sweeney updated the media today on the status of his players, most notably Adam McQuaid and Kevan Miller.

Sweeney said that McQuaid is out short-term and is expected to be back on the ice soon. However, when it comes to Kevan Miller, a different story unfolds.

Miller will be out for an “extended period of time”, as per Sweeney’s words. This is due to a knee injury Miller sustained when the Bruins played the Flyers. He already went down when he received a puck to his knee against the Habs, but Sweeney specified that this injury is not related to that initial incident.

The silver lining in all this is that both Brandon Carlo and Rob O’Gara have shown that they are ready to play at the NHL level, which won’t keep the Bruins in a tight spot.
