The Vancouver Canucks encountered some major travel issues on their way to Toronto ahead of their Saturday night clash against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Hockey Night in Canada, but thankfully it appears the game will proceed as originally scheduled.

On Friday night, news broke that the Canucks were quite literally trapped in Raleigh, North Carolina when their scheduled flight to Toronto was grounded due to poor weather conditions. This left questions about when the Canucks would be able to travel to Toronto, potentially putting tonight's game in jeopardy, but thankfully it seems that the skies have cleared up enough to allow the Canucks to safely travel.

Canucks insider Thomas Drance reported earlier this morning that the Canucks would be getting ready to travel in short order, something that has now been confirmed.

National Hockey League insider Chris Johnston reports that the Canucks have landed safely in Toronto as of 12:21 pm EST, which will give them very little time to prepare for their game against the Maple Leafs tonight.

The Canucks are well behind schedule with their arrival in Toronto and this will also have disrupted normal routine for the players who become accustomed to certain daily patterns during the course of an NHL season.

It will be very interesting to see how the Canucks players respond to such an unfortunate series of events in tonight's game, especially with them already facing a challenging opponent in a Maple Leafs team that currently sits atop the Atlantic Division standings.
