Despite what the team says, the New York Rangers are still not 100% aware of how serious goaltender Henrik Lundqvist's injury is.
The Rangers' star goaltender, who was injured in Game 1 of the team's first-round series against Pittsburgh after taking a stick to the eye, is set to visit a vision specialist on Thursday. The team should know more about his availability for game two of their opening round matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins after the visit.
For his part, head coach Alain Vigneault is remaining optimistic, stating that he doesn't believe the injury is cause for too much concern.
The team recalled Magnus Hellberg from the AHL with Game 2 of the series set for Saturday.
