Update: Roster movement for the Blackhawks.

Corey Crawford underwent an appendicectomy yesterday and will miss tonight's game against the Winnipeg Jets. Yesterday, the Hawks were so short in time, they had to call Eric Semborski, a staff member of the Philadelphia Flyers,  to be an emergency backup to Scott Darling. 

We knew right from the bat that this situation was a temporary one but for Semborski, it was the experience of a lifetime. Anyways, Hawks had to call-up a goalie and they recalled Lars Johansson from their farm team the Rockford Icehodge. Johansson didn't take part in that game.

The Blackhawks also sent down Nick Schmaltz to the Icehodge. Schmaltz, a first round pick in the 2014 draft has just one goal and three assists, while averaging less than 12 minutes this season.
