Update: Veteran defenseman may finally make his return tonight!

The Ottawa Senators (1-0-2) are taking on the Calgary Flames (3-1-0) tonight at 9pm ET. Veteran defenseman Johnny Oduya is participating at morning skate and may make his return tonight.

"You never know. Right now, we're waiting for a phone call to see where he's at but I know he was doing much, much, much better," coach Guy Boucher said to The Ottawa Citizen. "We're getting closer and closer. We'll see for (Friday), maybe (Saturday) and I'd say at worst, the very worst, Tuesday." 

Meanwhile, the team awaits Erik Karlsson's return - the star did not make the trip out west.

Oduya, acquired this summer, was injured in the team's season opener.
