Utah place veteran forward on waivers today

This just in, the Utah Mammoth have placed 32 year old forward Kevin Rooney on waivers today.

Additionally, the Tampa Bay Lightning have placed forward Niko Huuhtanen for the purposes of contract termination.

Rooney has played just one game for Utah this season, but has suited up for eight games with the team's AHL affiliate Tucson Roadrunners. In total he has 331 NHL games to his credit for the Mammoth, Calgary Flames, New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils.
