Valeri Nichushkin finally breaks silence on hotel room incident and unconsciously woman!

He addressed the media, but his answer angered many:

The story made headlines in April when a disturbing hotel room incident involving Valeri Nichushkin, who was a member of the Colorado Avalanche, during the postseason took place in Seattle. It was revealed that Nichushkin was involved in a bizarre incident with an unidentified woman at a hotel room on April 22nd, coincidently the same day that the Avalanche were scheduled to face the Kraken in Game 3 of their first round Stanley Cup playoff series. Police called to the scene where a “heavily intoxicated woman” was found in the Russian forward’s room, which some reports hinting that she could have been drugged, possibly with “something go mixed in a drink.” News reports then stated that Nichushkin was spirited out of the hotel by Avalanche team security members and flown out of Seattle that day. Police records also indicated that the woman had no fixed address and she told police that she had arrived from either Ukraine or Russia and that an unidentified man took her passport and identification.

A very troubling that finally, Nichushkin was asked about at the Avalanche’s training camp on Thursday, per Peter Baugh of The Athletic. The Russian forward denied the whole story:

“It was family reasons. I know you guys want to find something there but there’s nothing really interesting. I think we should close it. It’s a new season.”

He declined comment about the woman named in the Seattle police report.

I can’t believe this is being swept under the rug like this, and I blame the Avalanche for reintegrating Nichushkin in the lineup before the end of this investigation…

Nichushkin took part in 53 games for the defending Stanley Cup champion Avalanche this past season, scoring 17 goals while adding 30 assists. He was a force in Colorado’s title run in 2022, tallying nine goals in 20 playoff games and helping the Avalanche to their first Stanley Cup since 2001.

I wonder if more will come out of that disturbing incident since Nichushkin’s comments are clearly hiding something…
