Vegas Golden Knights fans welcome Jack Eichel to the Fortress! (VIDEO)
Jack is officially high-rolling in Vegas!
The drama that played out like a daytime soap opera finally ended last week, as disgruntled former Buffalo Sabres captain Jack Eichel was finally dealt out of western New York. His new destination? None other than Sin City and the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights acquired the No. 2 overall selection from the 2015 NHL Draft from the Sabres, and sent forward Alex Tuch, Peyton Krebs, a future first-round draft pick and a future second-rounder to Buffalo in return.
And Eichel has already endeared himself to Golden Knights fans, making an appearance at T-Mobile Arena tonight as his new squad geared up to face the expansion Seattle Kraken. He was introduced to roaring cheers from the sold out crowd, and cranked the rally siren:
The Golden Knights have brought in an incredible influx of top-end talent to their organization since their humble beginnings as the NHL's 31st franchise, bringing aboard the likes of Mark Stone, Max Pacioretty and Alex Pietrangelo to the fold. Eichel is the latest shrewd move by Vegas, a city known for making big-time gambles.
