One playoff contender has just lost some significant depth on it's roster.

The St. Louis Blues have lost veteran froward Kyle Brodziak for at least the next five weeks according to a report from Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post Dispatch. It appears that the 32-year-old center has suffered a major injury to his right foot, although the specific nature of that injury remains a mystery.

Brodziak has been an integral part of the Blues depth up the middle since joining the organization and this season was no exception with Brodziak appearing in 47 games and recording six goals and four assists on the season.

His absence will be felt.
