Longtime NHL forward Tyler Ennis will continue his professional career in Europe, signing a one year deal today with Adler Mannheim of the German DEL.

The 34 year old Ennis played in the Swiss National League (NL) last season, scoring 13 goals and 33 points in 37 games. He last played in the NHL during the 2021-22 season, putting up eight goals and 24 points in 57 games with the Ottawa Senators. He has also suited up for the Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Minnesota Wild and Buffalo Sabres.

There was some belief that Ennis could have earned an NHL job in training camp with a professional tryout (PTO) contract, but has evidently elected to keep playing in Europe. And... honestly, he made a good choice. Mannheim is currently 2nd in DEL standings with a stellar 9-2-1 record. He'll join the likes of Linden Vey, Jyrki Jokipakka and Tom Kuhnhackl as former NHLers on the team's roster.
