Video: Binnington rocks Backes with an elbow to the face

In case you missed it last night, St. Louis Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington managed to get away with a sneaky elbow on Boston Bruins forward David Backes. It’s a dirty move no doubt, especially when you consider Backes’ history with concussions.

Here’s the play in question:

First up… how does this get missed? There are clearly three (3!!!) officials right on top of the play pulling players out. How does not one of them see this? Or… maybe the did see it, but chose not to penalize Binnington? Either way it’s another blown call from NHL officials. Sunrise. Sunset. Nothing changes.
