DETAILS INSIDE
Dustin Byfuglien is known for his physical play and throwing big hits. However, this is one hit he probably should have laid off of.
During Sunday's matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and Minnesota Wild, Minnesota right winger Jason Pominville was skating down the left wing when he was tripped up by Byfuglien in the Winnipeg zone. Pominville tries to get up and while he is on his knees, Byfuglien slammed him from behind into the boards.
The play resulted in a two-minute minor penalty to Byfuglien for Boarding Pominville. Luckily, Pominville was fine after the play. This could have been a lot worse.
It was a reckless play on the part of Byfuglien.
