Stops him dead in his tracks.
Twenty-four year old Washington Capital Dmitry Orlov may be having the best season of his career, and now he's got an incredible hit to add to the highlight reel.
Orlov made a statement early in the second period when he absolutely destroyed Boston Bruin Matt Beleskey at center ice. Beleskey was attempting to skate the puck down towards the Washington zone when Orlov stepped in front of him and stopped him dead in his tracks with a hit that brought both men down.
Orlov has been getting some high praise for his work on Washington's third pairing this season, and this is just one more example of his solid play.
