This did not look like an accident.

There was a controversial moment involving Nashville Predators defenseman P.K. Subban on Saturday night.

Subban was involved in a very brief scuffle with Florida Panthers forward Vincent Torcheck but it was Subban actions after the fight was seemingly over that got all the attention.

With both men down on the ice Subban continued to throw punches at Trocheck's head long after the officials had stepped in to separate the two men, however the last punch at Subban did not appear to be intended for Trocheck.

It wasn't the hardest punch in the world, probably wasn't hard at all in fact, but it certainly appears like Subban made an effort to pull his arm out from under the referee, reached back, and swung straight up towards his face, nowhere near Trocheck's head at this point.

It's certainly nothing like the Dennis Wideman incident we saw last season, but we won't be surprised if the League has something to say about this.
