He spent over 300 games playing with the Detroit Red Wings before a trade earlier this month at the National Hockey League Trade Deadline ended his tenure in the Motor City.
Scrappy forward Tyler Bertuzzi, who endeared himself to fans in Detroit over the years with his junkyard dog mentality and knack for scoring, was sent to the NHL-best Boston Bruins in exchange for draft capital after being unable to come to terms on a new deal that would extend his time with the Red Wings.
This afternoon marked his first time back at Little Caesars Arena as a member of the opposition in what would ultimately be a 5-3 victory for the host Red Wings, dealing the Bruins a rare regulation loss. And as expected, the Red Wings honored Bertuzzi during a break in the 1st period with a specialized video tribute:
