This summer saw one of the most controversial trades in recent memory and now the player who was at the center of all the controversy finally gets to open and tell his side of the story.

In an exclusive one on one interview with Sportsnet's Eric Engels Subban fielded a number of tough questions regarding the rumors that swirl around him and speculated as to the real motivation behind trading an elite young defenseman entering his prime after committing so much money to that player.

It's clear that Subban has an emotional attachment to Montreal, and he chose to focus on that during the first two parts of his interview with Engels. The interview took place in front of cameras and Sportsnet has released the first two parts of that exclusive sit down thus far.
