Viktor Arvidsson reveals the real reason he missed the last 2 games.
The Boston Bruins were eliminated at the hands of the Buffalo Sabres this past week, a disappointing loss for the storied franchise despite the fact that the Bruins entered this series as underdogs.
A big factor for the Bruins later in the series was the absence of veteran forward Viktor Arvidsson, one of their most impactful forwards in the series up to that point. Arvidsson was forced to the sidelines due to injury for the final 2 games of the series, and on Sunday morning Arvidsson would reveal the terrible reason he was forced to do so.
Arvidsson revealed that he had suffered a broken rib during the series against Buffalo, and as if that wasn't bad enough also revealed that his lung had been punctured in the process. Despite all of that, Arvidsson revealed that he was pushing for a return by Game 7, a game that the Bruins of course failed to reach.
Arvidsson finishes the series with 2 goals and no assists over 2 games, 2 points and a plus minus rating of -4 over the whole series.
Arvidsson was in the final year of a 2 year deal, so there is no guarantee he will be back with the Bruins next season.
