Vincent Trocheck and his wife under fire for controversial Halloween costumes
Really? People get upset over the dumbest things these days... Thoughts?
Vincent and Hilary Trocheck are in complete damage control mode today.
The New York Rangers forward and his wife shared a photo of themselves at the team's Halloween party last night dressed as the infamous Menendez Brothers complete with prop Nerf guns.
Check it out:
The post has since been deleted by Hilary, but there's still plenty of proof of it circulating around social media. A number of Rangers fans have condemned the couple for glorifying the convicted killers and making light of their heinous crimes.
To those folks I say, "Just... chill out a bit. Seriously."
It's Halloween.
Halloween costumes are meant to be either silly, scary or maybe even a little bit controversial. It's the spirit of the season. The couple have likely been watching the Menendez Brothers documentary on Netflix and are just having some fun with a show that's going viral in pop culture right now.
So again... just chill out a bit.
