The New York Rangers have finally granted Vitali Kravtsov his wish.
After numerous failed attempts at getting the Russian first round pick going in their system, the Rangers appear to finally be ready to move on and are granting Kravtsov's long standing trade request.
According to a report from National Hockey League insider Elliotte Friedman, Kravtsov has been traded to the Vancouver Canucks although we are still awaiting word on the return.
Update: The Canucks have now officially confirmed the trade.
Going back to the Rangers in exchange for Kravtsov will be 24 year old former Canucks third round pick William Lockwood as well as a 7th round round pick at the 2026 NHL Entry Draft.
Not much of a return for a former first round pick, but Kravtsov has done an excellent job of tanking his value as far as the Rangers are concerned.
