Wayne Gretzky gets awkwardly insulted by former teammate Furh’s foundation

We don’t know why this happened or how former goalie Grant Fuhr didn’t do something about it. We explain.

On Thursday, the Grant Fuhr foundation posted some exciting information, announcing that none other than Wayne Gretzky was joining the foundation in a post on social media. Fuhr himself even retweeted the post to get more people excited about it.

However, there is no way he read it. How would he allowed his foundation to describe Gretzky like this did. This is the only thing they found to say about the most legendary player in the NHL, giving an incredibly underwhelming explanation of who Gretzky is.

“A former professional NHL Player & former head coach. He played 20 seasons in the (NHL) for 4 teams from 1979 to 1999. Nicknamed “The Great One”.”

Sure, maybe hockey is not overly popular everywhere, but anyone going to the Grant Fuhr Celebrity Invitational knows this is not enough to talk about Gretzky.

We laughed out loud at the fact that former head coach was put in the mix.

Come on, he deserves better. Fuhr and Gretzky were teammates in Edmonton and they won five Stanley Cup championships side by side. In the early 1990s, the Oilers began to dismantle the team and Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings, but the two players have remained close.

So close that no words are enough to describe his buddy Gretzky!
