Wayne Gretzky's exhibit defaced and vandalized at the Hockey Hall of Fame

Most hockey fans can agree on one thing: Wayne Gretzky is the greatest player of all time. 

He's The Great One, after all...

But Gretzky's popularity in his native Canada has fallen off a cliff.

Gretzky's close personal relationship with American President Donald Trump has put The Great One under Great Scrutiny in Canada. Trump has name dropped Gretzky multiple times while rambling about his plans to make Canada the "51st State". Gretzky had his wife Janet Gretzky make a social media post on his behalf and he had Trump himself make some sort of bizarre defense of his friend on Truth Social. Gretzky himself hasn't had much to say in his own defense...

Canadians have shown their displeasure for Gretzky by boycotting his 'Gretzky Estates' brand of wine and spirits and by essentially denouncing him as a Canadian hero. Today, social media user revealed that Gretzky's exhibit at The Hockey Hall of Fame has been defaced and a new 'Hall of Lame' poster has been added.
