We finally know where Duchene wants to be traded!

Everyone is keeping an eye on Ottawa Senators' Matt Duchene and where he might end up before Monday.

On Tuesday night, TSN's Darren Dreger reported on Insider Trading that Duchene has played his last game as a member of the Senators, seeing that he will be pulled out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the New Jersey Devils to prevent any injury. If Duchene were to get hurt, the Senators would have to forget about moving him for a big price.

Sportsnet's John Shannon also added that he is expected to miss all games ahead of the deadline.

Duchene has become one of the most coveted rentals on the trade market in the recent months. Talks have heated up since he has revealed that he isn’t ready to sign an eight-year deal worth in excess of $65 million with the Senators. It’s believed initially five teams showed interest in Duchene and that number has grown since. And Duchene is hoping that the Nashville Predators are in the mix to land his services as Bob McKenzie just reported how the veteran forward would love to play for the Preds.

"The Nashville Predators would be interested, I would think. I think Matt Duchene would be interested in going to Nashville; not just on a short term either, maybe longer term. The Columbus Blue Jackets are a team that might look favorably on getting a guy like Matt Duchene, and they’re kind of balancing the Artemi Panarin ball that we talked about earlier.
“So we’ll keep an eye on the developing situation with Matt Duchene and the Ottawa Senators.”

Duchene reportedly dreams of playing in Nashville: just this past week, a man named Brian Manookian, an attorney based out of Nashville, informed TSN's Shawn Simpson that Property Records from the city of Nashville show that a man named "Matthew Duchene" has purchased a townhouse that was under construction back in November. You don't need me to tell you why that would raise a ton of eyebrows around the National Hockey League.

Nobody knows exactly what the asking price is for Duchene, but you’d have to think the club would want a first-round pick, a high-end prospect plus another piece in return.

Brought here from the Colorado Avalanche in a massive three-way deal in Nov., 2017 that sent Kyle Turris to Nashville, Duchene is in his second season with the Senators and has 58 points in 50 games this year.

Duchene, whose deal expires after this season, has posted 27 goals and 31 assists in 50 games with the Senators this season.
