We now know who will face Team USA in the Quarterfinals

Sweden has just secured a spot in the Quarterfinals against Team USA tomorrow afternoon.

Sweden beat Latvia 5-1 in their Qualifying match today, securing them a spot to face USA in a do or die game against USA tomorrow at 12:10pm ET.

In other Quarterfinal matchups, Canada will face Czechia, Germany will face Slovakia and Finland will face Switzerland.

Suffice it to say, this USA vs Sweden matchup is the most compelling of all the Quarterfinal matchups. Heading into this tournament both teams were seen as Gold Medal contenders and now at least one of them will taken out of medal contention early in the elimination rounds.
