Remember Wendel Clark? Of course you do! He played a part in 13 Maple Leafs' seasons and was known for his toughness. He wasn't the biggest guy around, but you knew if he dropped the mitts, you were in for a rough patch. He wasn't a bad hockey player either, scoring 564 points in 793 games. However, he's better known for his 1690 penalty minutes in the same 793 games, an insane average of a bit more than 2 minutes a game!

Anyhow, he took part in the ''Ice Guardian'' documentary which focuses around enforcers in hockey. This little segment will probably make you proud of the guy.

This is just so simple! Two guys fighting will almost always agree to it beforehand. Being blindsided in the middle of a play is totally not mutually accepted, of course. Hence a lot more injuries in hockey these days with fights being less and less tolerated by the league.

Of course, the debate is a lot more nuanced than this simple thought, but you have to give the guy credit. He understand the market of violence in hockey more than the majority of the people running the show these days.
