The franchise's future was discussed at the governors meeting.
According to TSN's insider Darren Dreger, the board of governors have discussed the future of the Florida Panthers.
The Panthers' organization is looking for a new lease deal and might get a boost from tourism taxes. A possible 86 millions could help the Panthers stay in Florida at the BB&T center for a longer period of time.
As of right now, rumours are swirling that hey might be the next team to move in the NHL, possibly to Quebec or Las Vegas.
Dredger argued that this new lease deal will determine if the team stays in Florida or not.
