Wheeler and Quick celebrate alongside Rangers teammates during Panarin's OT winner
Wheeler banging on the glass like he's in the scrum!
The Breadman delivers once again.
Artemi 'Breadman' Panarin scored the overtime winner this evening in Game 3 of the New York Rangers' 2nd round series against the Colorado Avalanche to give the Rangers a commanding 3-0 series lead.
Check out Panarin's deft deflection on the OT winner:
Panarin gets mobbed by his teammates in the aftermath of the goal, but what you couldn't see from the broadcast vantage point is that Rangers backup goaltender Jonathan Quick and injured forward Blake Wheeler were celebrating alongside their teammates, just on the other side of the glass.
Check out this candid moment from Rangers insider Peter Baugh:
Love this!
To be honest Quick looks more interested in clearing the runway for his teammates than he does in celebrating, but he's a savvy vet who has done his fair share of winning. This is nothing new for him.
To see the genuine enthusiasm of Wheeler though is fantastic! Keep in mind the furthest that Wheeler has ever progressed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs is in 2018 when he was a member of the Winnipeg Jets who lost the Western Conference Final to the expansion Vegas Golden Knights.
