The Minnesota Wild assigned goaltender Niklas Svedberg to the Iowa Wild (AHL), the team announced on Friday. Svedberg was recalled on an emergency basis, but he didn't appear in a game with Minnesota so far this season.

He played 10 games with the Iowa Wild so far this season, posting a 3-6-0 record with a 2.84 goals-against average and a .904 save percentage.

Svedberg was sign as a free agent by the Wild last summer. He played four seasons in the Boston Bruins organisation between 2012 and 2015, where he played 19 games in the NHL, posting a 8-5-1 record with a 2.31 goals-against average and a .920 save percentage. Before signing with the Wild, the Swedish goaltender spent the last two seasons in the KHL.
