Martin Frk was once very high on the prospect list for the Detroit Red Wings and will hopefully earn a chance this year with the big club.
Frk was drafted 49th in 2012 by the Red Wings and even left the club for a brief stint last year after being claimed by the Carolina Hurricanes. An interesting thing about Frk is his championship track record. A Memorial Cup Champion and recently a Calder Cup Champion in the AHL with the Griffins. Frk also scored the game winning goal which allowed the Red Wings affiliate to hoist the AHL title! Hopefully Frk will have chance to finally get his shot this year in the NHL!
