Fans started to get worried hours prior to Game 5 in the second round series between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Edmonton Oilers. As the Knights jumped on the ice, it was quickly noticed that forward William Karlsson was missing.
However, after practice, Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy confirmed that Karlsson and his wife, Emily, have welcomed the couple’s first child, a baby boy.
While Karlsson is getting some extra rest, he is expected to play in tonight’s Game 5 against theOilers, per Jesse Granger.
Karlsson, though he has yet to score in the series against Edmonton, has put up four goals and six points in nine playoff contests.
The Golden Knights are forced to make changes to their lineup, especially with Alex Pietrangelo suspended one game for his slash on Oilers star forward Leon Draisaitl. It looks like Ben Hutton will draw in for him in tonight's contest.
Granger posted this lines from practice with Michael Amadio skating with the scratches after the skate, meaning he could be drawing out for Teddy Blueger.
