William Nylander buries overtime winner to take down Bolts! (VIDEO)
Slick Willy is at it again!
The Toronto Maple Leafs appeared on the verge of defeat tonight at Scotiabank Arena against the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning, until captain John Tavares decided to take matters into his own hands.
His tying goal with less than a minute in regulation knotted the score up 1-1:
That set the stage for forward William Nylander to close the curtains on the Lightning, blasting a one-time shot past goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy on the power play in the game's extra session for his team-leading 5th tally of the season:
The Leafs, who got 24 saves from goaltender Jack Campbell and two assists from Auston Matthews, have now won four straight. They'll continue their five-game home stand on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins.
