William Nylander: “I'm pissed off”

There wasn't a whole lot that went right for the Toronto Maple Leafs last night against the New York Islanders at UBS Arena. When it was all said and done, the home crowd (who still let former captain John Tavares know they're still not over his leaving in 2018) went home happy as their Islanders handled the visiting Leafs by a 7-2 final score.

And the struggles for forward William Nylander continued, as he was held without a point for the 4th consecutive game. He had already been called out by head coach Sheldon Keefe for his slumping play, and his performance on Tuesday night certainly won't help things.

And afterward, Nylander was brutally honest about how he feels about his recent play.

"I haven't been happy with my game," Nylander said in his postgame comments. "I'm pissed off about it. It happens. You just have to dig yourself out of it."

Nylander and the Leafs are back in action tomorrow night when they take on the Atlantic Division rival Florida Panthers from the Sunshine State.
