Good news for the Maple Leafs is also bad news for one of them.
The Toronto Maple Leafs received some good news on Monday ahead of an unexpectedly tough matchup against the surprising Pittsburgh Penguins, who are currently tied for first place in the National Hockey League's Metropolitan Division, but it isn't good news for every Maple Leaf.
It was Nylander himself who confirmed that he would be returning to the lineup on Monday, speaking to reporters and confirming his return.
"Good to go," said Nylander.
While there's no disputing the fact that Nylander's return is a positive, it also means that another Maple Leaf will have to draw out of the lineup and surprisingly it appears that Maple Leaf may be forward Bobby McMann. McMann was not a part of the top 4 lines during the team's morning skate and, while Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube would now officially confirm McMann was being scratched, Berube did admit that he has some tough decisions to make ahead of tonight's game against the Penguins.
Here is a look at the Leafs top 4 lines based on today's morning skate:
