Sweet touch for a grinder!

Daniel Winnik is mostly known for his grinding, physical style. However, last night he showed us he has a pretty decent set of hands.

The whole play was actually quite nice. Brad Boyes sent a backhand saucer pass to Winnik that went through both defenseman while he was being checked and falling down. The puck was bouncing after it went through the Ottawa defenseman and Winnik juggled with it to gain control then made a nice move and went to his backhand to put it past Craig Anderson. Winnik proceeded to celebrate but it hit the net cam and came right out so the ref waved off the goal. After review it was awarded. The goal also tied the game.

Unfortunately Toronto lost to Ottawa in the shootout, but Winnik's goal earned the Leafs their first point this season.
