The Winnipeg Jets have announced a sizeable trimming down of their training camp roster, with a total of 10 players being cut from the roster on Saturday night.

Perhaps the most notable news of the day is that 25 year old defenseman Dean Stewart, who spent the last two seasons with the Manitoba Moose of the American Hockey League, has been released from his professional tryout offer. The former 7th round draft pick (188th overall) of the Arizona Coyotes at the 2016 National Hockey League Entry Draft is likely to return to the Moose, although that was not officially announced by the Jets.

The Jets also announced that 9 members of their training camp roster have been assigned to the Moose, and they are the following:

Goaltender Thomas Milic
Goaltender Oskari Salminen
Defenseman Tyrel Bauer
Defenseman Artemi Kniazev
Defenseman Dmitri Kuzmin
Defenseman Simon Lundmark
Forward Nikita Chibrikov
Forward Brad Lambert
Forward Daniel Torgersson

The Jets did not place any players on waivers on Saturday, however there will no doubt be more cuts coming in the very near future.
