In case you missed it last night, Colorado Avalanche superstar Nathan MacKinnon had himself the game of the season.

The MVP candidate had four goals and five points in a dominant performance, helping the Avalanche earn a 6-2 victory over the visiting Washington Capitals. His hat trick goal was an absolute thing of beauty and has to be witnessed if you haven't seen it yet, check it out:

Hats flooded the ice after this goal, in fact you can even see one guy in the lower part of the screen who's ready to toss his hat before MacKinnon even goes to the backhand.

Check it out:

Talk about dialed in, this guy is ready to do whatever it takes for the team... at the drop of a hat.

After MacKinnon's fourth goal of the night though, that's when things REALLY got spicy.

There weren't many hats thrown on the ice, but the Avs' ice crew was very happy to show off women's undergarments including a bra and at least one pair of thong underwear.

Check it out:

What can we say?

Big Mack just has that effect on women, I guess...

The 28 year old former 1st overall pick (2013 NHL Entry Draft) has six goals and nine points in his past two games and is up to 30 goals and 82 points in just 48 games this season. This is after a career high 42 goals and 111 points in 71 games last season. If he can stay health, he should have another career-setting campaign in 2023-24. I'll certainly be cheering him on to reach the 50 goal plateau for the first time in his NHL career.

After the game MacKinnon addressed his fans who gave him a standing ovation and serenaded him with chants of 'MVP! MVP!'

Check it out:

You have to imagine MacKinnon is the leading Hart Trophy candidate as the league's MVP up to this point in the season. He's the NHL's point scoring leader, two points up on Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov. Vancouver Canucks defenseman and captain Quinn Hughes is also likely in the conversation, along with Kucherov and potentially Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck who has been dominant and remarkably consistent.
